Circle W Recalls Trailers Over Defective Brake Actuator Pumps

In the backdrop of findings that the electric/hydraulic actuator pump may not have been heat treated the way it should be, Circle W has decided to voluntarily recall 4 units of 2011 Gooseneck Livestock trailers that are equipped with a Dexter axle brand pump.

According to the several news agencies covering all recalls issued due to this defective brake part, if the pump is not properly heat treated, it may lead to a premature wear of some significant components in the brake system, and go on to affect the operation of the unit.

The official recall announcement has been released in the National highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website and it states that these vehicles must have the defective vehicles repaired as soon as possible.

While the firm is notifying the owners, Dexter axle dealers have been instructed to replace the actuator pumps free of cost at authorized dealers.

As a Vancouver Personal Injury Lawyer, I sincerely hope that this recall campaign is being carried out successfully. I’m glad that the company was able to address this issue before incidents or injuries associated with this defective vehicle were reported. FDA Approves Nasal Aerosol Integrated Dose Counter

In a news statement, Consort Medical plc announced the approval of the very first product to integrate Bespak’s proprietary Integrated Dose Counter (IDC) by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The FDA-approved IDC will be used in tandem with Teva’s QNASL Nasal Aerosol treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) symptoms and perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR) in adults and adolescents 12-years-of-age and older. This is the first marketed non-aqueous, or dry, nasal aerosol prescription medication in its category. The medication is designed to be a daily, pressurized, HFA-propelled dry aerosol that offers a built-in dose counter to let patients know when they need to obtain a refill. The product, though an aerosol, is environmentally friendly.

The IDC has been in development by Bespak for several years as a response to patients’ concerns over whether a container has an adequate dose of medication to meet their needs and to alert them as to when to refill their prescription. The IDC is a reliable, easy-to-read indicator of much medication is inside the container and adheres to all FDA regulations.

Chief Executive of Consort Medical Jon Glenn stated, “We are very pleased to announce that the FDA has approved the use of our IDC with Teva’s QNASL, making this our first commercially marketed Integrated Dose Counter. We are also delighted to support Teva in their launch of this important new treatment for a debilitating condition.”

As a Harrisburg personal injury attorney, I’m glad to learn that research into safer, more efficient ways to treat this disabling allergic condition have bared fruit. Manufacturers have many safety measures in place to ensure the quality of their products, however, even under the most meticulous eye, mistakes can be made.
